''....the Zodiac was far more afraid of Lyndon, in the intervening years, than some might perceive as the other way around.'' ?
This emerging, I believe, with respect to the general knowledge that Lyndon Lafferty's book, known to have been written but yet to be published, might expose enough of what Lyndon had unearthed, that could incriminate and expose the Zodiac, regardless of Lyndon's personal opinions on the matter.
Lafferty's book '' The Silenced Badge '' was being withheld by his publishers for legal reasons, until elderly William Joseph Grant became deceased and, this came about in February 2012.
It is my contention that, shortly following the natural death of William Grant, the Zodiac was admitted to hospital, with a suspected heart attack. The suspected heart attack turned out to be a case of heart palpations and the Zodiac was discharged a few days later. As appears to have transpired, on the publication of Lafferty's book, Lafferty had not changed his position on the case and, as a consequence, his book did not contain significant surprises, although such gems as Lafferty's library finds may well become a useful means of exposing the Zodiac, for his comings and goings, in the future.
Widespread knowledge of Grant's death, including Lafferty's knowledge, did not come about until about 6 weeks after the event. So, how did the Zodiac find out ( within a few days ) which, as appears likely, caused the Zodiac to have medical issues through fear ?
This, I was to conclude later on. An employee of NCIS Washington D.C. had informed Grant's War Veteran's site of his death, promptly.
And this, naturally, on the basis that the Zodiac resided a long distance from William Grant who, was still a Fairfield resident at the time of his death.
( I am aware of the identity of the NCIS Washington D.C. employee, and informed NCIS Washington D.C. of their potential security breach, following my discovery.)
