New Vallejo shooting on Columbus Parkway!
This popped up earlier today on my news page:
"Vallejo Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s help in their investigation of a fatal shooting late Wednesday at the intersection of Admiral Callaghan Lane and Columbus Parkway, Sgt. Joe Iacono said. It was Vallejo’s 14th murder of the year, he said. Officer were sent to the scene at 9:20pm on Wednesday."
Anyone have any details?

Just Google Mapped the given Intersection of Admiral & Columbus. It a mile and a half away from Blue Rock Springs. Don't know any of the details but first thought into my head was "Zodiac copy-cat?"

Callaghan sounds like Callahan, so it must be Z related. That is how things work, right? Mike

Callaghan sounds like Callahan, so it must be Z related. That is how things work, right? Mike Absolutely! Just like when there is an unsolved homicide in Northern California from the 60's and/or 70's, then quite obviously, Zodiac did it! Also, if there is a serial offender that was active in California from the 50's to the 80's.....Zodiac! Takes, for example, 'The Original Night Stalker.' Many people believe that He & Zodiac are one and the same man and this seems to be based on nothing other than the fact The Original Night Stalker was never caught just the same as Zodiac remains unapprehended. The fact that Zodiac & ONS's MO were completely different means nothing apparently. It seems that there are some who believe only Zodiac can commit serial offences and get away with it and so if The Original Night Stalker reigned for several years committing dozens of rapes & murders and still remains at large, then he must be The Zodiac also. Silly Logic, I know.

Trust me, Z and the ONS were anything but the same person. Anyone who even suggests that tells you he or she has no idea what is going on. That is like in the mid 200s, people thought that Z and BTK might be the same person. No chance!!

Typical that, they can catch Four suspects for Three Offences today, yet One suspect in Four attacks with 5 homicide victims....No Idea. Yesterday I was listening to a radio interview with Thomas Horan discussing The Zodiac Case and agreeing with certain theories he had offered and not other etc when He mentioned Hal Snook briefly and stated his writing is an almost perfect match for Zodiac's and I have to agree with him on this point/claim. I remember, back several years ago now, at a time when I was just starting to develop what would later become a full blown obsession with The whole Z saga, I first came across the name Hal Snook. I remember looking at Snooks report for the first time and for a split second I thought I had opened the wrong file/page and that I'd accidentally opened a saved copy of one of Z's Letters. Hal Snook's writing literally stunned me as to it's stunning likeness to that of author of the Zodiac Letters. Snooks printing is as close to a match to Z's hand that I have ever seen offered in this case in almost half a Century of investigation, suspects and evidence on offer. For anyone who may not be aware of Hal's report...

Why else does Hal make a good suspect? Well there are the small matter's of:
1. Hal served in the Army in the enlisted ranks for three years during World War II in New Guinea and the Philippines. He served another three years as an Air Force officer during the Korean War.
2. He worked as editor of the Western Sentinel in Etna, Calif. and as editor of the Napa Journal before being recalled to active duty in 1951.
3. An avid hunter and fisherman, Hal, after completion of his military service, opened a sporting goods store in Napa.
4. Recognized by the U.S. Supreme Court as an expert in narcotics and fingerprint identification. He also taught scientific crime investigation for the criminal justice department of Napa Community College. (If anyone has knowledge or the skill's to "Leave fake clews for police to run all over town with" in the form of planting a bloody finger print, he would.)
5. Member of the California Narcotic Officers Association, Napa County Peace Officers Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, National Rifle Association and the Napa Rock and Gem Club.
Conclusion? The above 5 bullet points alone do match the profile of the UN-SUB, but that coupled with his almost identical printing to the man writing the Zodiac letters make's this man a far better and likely suspect than some of the actual named suspects that LE acknowledged they were looking into. Is Hal and the Zodiac, or at least the man writing the letters claiming to be Zodiac, one and the same? I would stop short of making any real conclusions pending more samples of his printing and other evidence such as where Hal was on the day's and nights that we know The Zodiac Struck. Anyone able to furnish us with such information, pleas don't hesitate.
