The Zodiac case deciphered and solved

Zodiac has been on borrowed time far longer than 3 1/2 years. The placer of the Seattle Times Ad is irrelevant.

What his sisters do is important.

He wrote to KHJ TV Channel 9 in Los Angeles, May 2, 1978, after he was discharged from the service.

I make NO presumptions.

It sounds like you didn't know Zodiac at all.

He had no personal pets, except that one his heartless parents cruelly let a coyote kill when he was a child.

He took the name "Paul," but never uses it.

Is it actually ZODIAC's destiny to "unravel into nothing?" His evil parents set him up for it.

Here's a thought: Considering them, a shrink might say it wasn't Zodiac's fault he turned out the way he did.

His sisters changed their names rather than be identified with that horrifying family.

The oldest could vouch for him, if he scores a plea deal before she passes to her eternal reward.

Unfortunately, I can't copy and paste, so I will type it below. The typewritten letter was received by the SFChronicle on Jan 4, 1971:

"If you are game print the following letter. An Open Letter to the Zodiac.

You need no explosives for your big blast, just go to the nearest police station and tell the truth about the man who made a killer out of you, your father who has been getting away with famous American crimes since 1947 and is now an expert in giving killing lessons. Once you asked, "What will they do to me?" You will be placed in a mental institution which is better than a session with a double edged sword or a shot in the back because after the conviction of the scapegoats for your father's murders with your help, he will have to take care of you since you have been placing a dent into his good reputation by duplicating his murders."
The typed letter went on to talk about an older brother. "Think about the big noses you could rub so many big booboos, it is fantastic... You could also clear up a little mystery, if two people with only their hands tied do not run out to seek help, is it not because they are already in the process of being killed by two men...."

Unfortunately, the paper never published this Open Letter, so neither the paper nor the police have a copy of it. Only Graysmith ever had the complete copy Zodiac's sister(s) (probably the two who won't speak to him) wrote, and Graysmith doesn't respond to inquiries about anything.

It's partially Graysmith's fault LE was so focused on ALA being Zodiac, they ignored this letter.

Others have known the REAL Zodiac far longer, some more than twice as long.
