Well in the my name is cipher it's generally accepted and said that the first 4 letters are A E N and K. While that's true in the literal sense that they are the first four unencrypted letters, the actual Cipher states My Name Is....
A E N - crosshairs symbol - Circled Number 8, and then the letter K. Now this is speculation but if the crosshair symbol represents the same letter in the 340 as it previously had in the 408, then the crosshair symbol is the letter D which could change the AENK anagram of KANE to one of A E N D and a new anagram of DEAN: NAME DEAN?

I've long been quietly confident that the MY NAME IS line of cipher is a clue to the original 408 that Z said his identity could be found. Please click the image below to enlarge:

How about the lower right section of the Zodiac killer’s 408-symbol cipher? DWILLB ESIWIL MYNAME MY NAME IS WILL BE WILD I don't know where exactly in the the Cipher's message it is or what it specifically says but, I am sure that his claim of 'In this Cipher is my identity' is accurate at least to a certain degree. By that I mean, he may not have hidden his name in the message itself, but some hint or reference to who he is or where he lives is hidden within the decoded lines of message, of that I i'm pretty sure. I just cannot believe that this man went to great lengths and trouble to encrypt such a message when the message, as it appears and reads at face value, is completely meaningless and a load of babbling rubbish. He enciphered that for a reason in my opinion, and it wasn't to tell us that he likes killing because it's so much fun and he's on a slave collecting mission for his upcoming afterlife in a place called 'Paradice.' That's just a message of smoke & mirrors in my humble opinion, the art and use of misdirection to look at what the magician want's you to look at and in doing so, fail to see the hidden slight of hand to palm away the crucial element of the trick itself which, had you seen this, would know just how the trick is done and have the answer that nobody else has spotted!

The ''408'' solution does give indications that Zodiac was ''flexing his arm'',so to speak. The overall message is almost ''infantile'',if it weren't for him over emphasizing the ''killing'' part [?].
So,what do we have - beyond Zodiac desiring to add another ''string to his bow'' on the many talents,he wished to impress on us ?
The message alone just doesn't instill fear - it's the ''creation'' of the cipher that is important to him.Perhaps he did want to incorporate ''aspects'' to prolong other's interests [?].
It is possible that both WelshChappie and Ricardo are on to something with their observations. The ''link'' as a ''come on'' to examine further [?].''Will'' could be one of a few possible inferences to William Joseph Grant,as noted in analysis of Zodiac's communications [?].
I am convinced that Zodiac never actually delivered his formal name - that was part of the fun for him - decoys, red herrings, even closely connected clues - but not his identity.
The ''My name is'' cipher has produced more proposed solutions than any of his ''puzzlers'' in total - and for obvious reasons, apart from its ''manageable'' 13 symbols. Its almost a given that any solution will be derided - since the ''solver'' wishes it to be what suits them [?].Mr.Lafferty,a high profile case in point....but who is to say that he is wrong [?].
I have a solution to the ''My name is'' cipher - it is actually an address,in abridged form.I could write a chapter on how this came about - but so could anyone else.I believe Mr.Lafferty pretty much did [?].
My advice would be to anyone interested in solving the Zodiac case is to focus, for the most part,on the serious crimes.
But the ciphers are a welcome ''respite'' - and might still yield further opportunities.
