Another good newspaper article,in light of a few ''Zodiologists'' making the effort,to mark the 48th anniversary of the murders of David Faraday and Betty Lou Jensen.
It puts ''Zodiologists'' in a very human frame, also.
The general term ''True Crime'' can sometimes receive derisory press,in that its initial imagery amounts to a fascination with Mafia revenge or bodies ''under the floorboard''.
There is,most certainly,an ''intellectual'' side to the studying of the case of The Zodiac Killer.A wide range of criminology to be negotiated and mastered, with a perpetrator seemingly,a ''Jack The Ripper'' of all trades [!].
''Good'' on those who attended.

Interesting archive footage.
Questions have arisen over the lack of tyre track casts, taken from the crime scene.
The night of Faraday&Jensen's murders, was one of the coldest on record, and I believe [...though stand corrected...]that it became apparent,by crime scene police, that there were none of Zodiac's motorcar, left behind - due to the sub-zero temperature,at that time of day.
Another piece of luck, for Zodiac [?].

Looking at that archive footage,Ricardo, there were two significant aspects that came to mind.
Firstly, that the rough terrain of the parking area - gravel and pot holes - did have a tendency to reveal multiple tyre tracks.
Secondly, that on the day, following the double murder, the weather was ''high pressure'' - barely a cloud in the sky, with the ground exposed to ''the heavens''.One assumes that tyre tracks were being made during the day,but not at night, due to frozen ground.
Personally,I am not of the opinion that temperature or tyre tracks was a consideration for Zodiac.''High Pressure'' weather is also ''Fine'' weather, and Zodiac would have been aware that motorists would have been out and about, albeit colder temperatures.
I am confident that Zodiac's ''weapon'' car,was normally hidden away in a house garage.
Therefore, leaving tyre tracks would not have been a major consideration for Zodiac [?].
More particularly as a consideration, that there would be some ''prey'',for the taking.

I wonder what cars were available in the police tow lots. Im guessing the gravel lot you are talking about was very fine like crusher runoff, Betty did not have a car or drive right
