I came across a similar symbol when I was reading a ancient origins post on Facebook. It was an article on the inscriptions found on a tablet unearthed from a mound in Tennessee called the “Bat Creek Inscriptions” See link below: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bat_Creek_inscriptionWhat was interesting is that one of the symbols is almost identical to the zodiac symbol but in reverse. There was also various dots in the inscription very similar to the dots around the zodiac symbol. As soon as I saw it I said that looks almost identical to the zodiac symbol. May just be coincidence or maybe an inspiration for the zodiac symbol?

Fascinating find , Brad , and gratitude to you for registering a reference of its observation , at this site .
It may be of interest to you , that a recently exposed double correspondence from May 27th 2009 and June 2nd 2009 ( 06/02/09 = 629 = FBI ) from the Rev.William ( Billy ) Graham FBI Files , have become new candidates for possible last written contact from the Zodiac . These two letters were posted to the IRS Tax Office in Knoxville , Tennessee .
Based on recent surveys of opinion , a majority of those surveyed believe that the Zodiac was a resident of Vallejo , during his reign of terror . But this may have not been his primary home . A favoured candidate for a primary home would , more than likely , be in the Greater Los Angeles vicinity . Personally , I believe that his primary home , up until August 1969 , was Memphis , Tennessee .
Thank you again , for your interesting observation , with a Tennessee link .

Thanks Rubislaw, I didn’t realise there was a Tennessee link but if the inscription was the inspiration, then that would make sense as in the 60s the inscription would probably only be known to locals or intellectuals in the archeological profession.

Yes, I see now that Loudon County is just 20 miles south-west of Knoxville .
The Zodiac may have earmarked the IRS Offices in Knoxville , in 2009 , on account of knowledge of them before . What is almost certain is , that the Zodiac rarely if ever remained static for very long . Always on the move , with a possible Tennessee residency just prior to the bulk of the confirmed correspondences , in the latter part of 1969 , and into 1970 . Refer : William ( Billy ) Graham FBI File 2 , Pages 244 - 247 .
