As mentioned in Robert Graysmith’s book “Zodiac Unmasked”, there was the episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents in which someone taped a small flashlight to a rifle and explained “Just shoot for the dark spot in the light and you will hit your target.” The Zodiac killer wrote: “What I did was tape a small pencel flash light to the barrel of my gun. If you notice, in the center of the beam of light if you aim it at a wall or celling you will see a black or darck spot in the center of the circle of light aprox 3 to 6 in. across. When taped to a gun barrel, the bullet will strike exactly in the center of the black dot in the light. All I had to do was spray them as if it was a water hose; there was no need to use the gun sights.” Also, in the episode, another character referred to “the most dangerous game”. The Zodiac killer referred to “the most dangerous animal” in the 408-symbol cipher. I read Jim Bacchus and others thought it was to soon after the Texas tower shootings to do it
everyone then watched G I not many knew the book

There also was a Adam 12 episode that was IMO patterned after or maybe done to draw Zodiac out
it was from around april 1970
It looked as if the show cut half a earlier episode ,and put in scenes where Reed & Malloy investigate ( they come across it on patrol and it is just them trying to solve it ) a mystery man killing young adults parking up in the remote hills ( lovers lanes ), and a hithiker by knife and gun , and he is given a monkier like a zodiac style name ,...scorpio or like ...it is very different from normal episodes
Adam 12 worked closely with L E , perhaps they did it just to see if Zodiac would respond

Wow didn't know it was 9/27/69 usually the shows where taped 6 months pryer (I like looking at the show and seeing 1969 L A streets etc. )
Also CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival ) played the Johnny Cash show on 9/27/69
they were from the Bay area, ElCerritos Cal.
they played the big hit- Bad moon Rising - see you tube - Bad Moon Rising Johnny cash show 9/27/69
it would have drawn a large number of young adults in and around SF .also seems they played proudmary and looking out my back door .
JCS aired at 8pm in central TZ, BadMoon Rising played around 8:08 so just about the time it happend. ( I remember watching it that night )
it could be Zodiac timed the attack to have it as breaking news that many would see

Ironsides TV show is on here now the 66 and up episodes.
Was watching the 1st ones had a 30-40 second opening showing video of the many neighborhoods of San Fran , that must have been like catnip to Zodiac, bet he watched it .
I saw 1 episode where a police Sgt. Moonlighting as a cab driver , shoots and kills a customer , I think in 68

Snl was sucky last nite ,I bumped the remote and found the Ironsides Moonlight means money episode just started
It aired 2/27/69.
The ironsides where a yellow cab driver also he is a cop shoots and kills a passenger who had rode and dashed
A few notable things were there is about 4o seconds of film of SF streets in summer ,the hilly ones
One scene ed talks to 7-10 cab drvers near the many yellow ford fairlanes.
A man that runs a junk yard is selling prescribtion drugs illegally through another cab driver, the guy killed thought this moonlighting cop was the driver teamed up with him,then realised he wasnt.
The way it worked was he took a ride in the cab and put the large # of pills in
seat back, then he was let out ,the cab drove up A BLOCK,( like at stines killing) where the buyer was they both could see each other ,then he the buyer got in, the cab left , he recieved the pills ,drove away and the cabby later gave the money to the dealer at the junkyard. It made me say hmm.

The Avengers is on here, days ago an episode had a caller to linda (emma peels replacement ) that was just heavy breathing , think it aired in 68
That show was the bomb ...all under 30 watched it

But was moonlit means money ,that det. Wasn't part of the opening ...they copied one of their own shows |
