Are you all brain dead, being a complete idiot is the only excuse for not seeing the obvious. Kenneth Lester German was officially named a suspect. I’m ale a look at Powers picture of his grandfather now look at all the other so called suspects.
Truly remarkable and the fact that it gets no press tells me someone who is in the know has financial gain in pinning it on one of the distractions in pool of suspects. Now I would politely say the proof is in the pudding.👍🏻

I wish to apologize for my angry outburst. I have been harassed and threatened for my post of possible "Donna Lass photo" I was out of line and should not have made the derogatory remarks concerning suspect KLG. I personally don't believe Klg is the Zodiac Killer. However to dismiss his possible connection entirely is not possible for me because of the photo of Donna that was taken in his home. Recently I have been tested and scored in the top 5% as being a Super Recognizer. With all the scrutiny I have faced behind the photo I submitted online of Donna Lass, I encourage nay sayers to research the term "Super Recognizer" This is not the first time this has happened to me concerning a photo. I look forward to learning more on the subject of "SUPER RECOGNITION."

Hi Apple Florez . I can understand your frustration , but the the Zodiac internet '' old guard '' can be difficult to convince , with so many claims coming and going over the years .
It is refreshing , in a way , that you don't personally believe that KLG is the Zodiac .
Personally , I can only see a way forward , in understanding the authenticity of the photograph and whether it is Donna Lass or not , is to know who actually produced its uncovering , in the first place .
Was it Jake Herminghaus who now holds custody of the photograph , who actually produced the photograph's uncovering also ?
Or , was it Mr.Powers ?
Without this information , I don't see that this whole subject has much further traction .
The photograph does look like it could be Donna Lass , but further information has to be forthcoming , with respect to the photograph .
Thanks for your post at this site , and please do post again , if you can offer more details .

The photograph came from Phillip Powers he gave it to a detective in Lake Tahoe. Along with two gold money clips. He said he found the photo in his grandfather's stuff and that he remembers her always wearing lots jewelry and staying at his grandfather's for a period of time. I was doing some research and stumbled on the photo a year later and recognized her and began to share it. He was also trying to get more information about the lady named Donna from the photo.

I have taken a keen interest in this , and without any actual proof that the photograph is of Donna Lass , it is nevertheless a worrying scenario from the Zodiac case's point of view , since the middle-aged lady does certainly look as if it could be Donna Lass .
If you are sure that Phillip Powers is telling the truth , about how he came by acquiring the photograph , then the emphasis is on Detective Jake Herminghaus of the South Lake Tahoe Police , to investigate , and attempt to come up with an explanation . All one can really do , as a member of the public , is to keep pushing law enforcement . Options that you may have , is to approach a politician or even a Human Rights lawyer , over this matter .
What I have found , in the past , is that law enforcement agencies don't like to have an argument between themselves , in public .With the disappearance of Donna Lass , the two main agencies involved in her disappearance , were the FBI and South Lake Tahoe Police Department . If , for example , it was actually Detective Herminghaus that found the photograph , it could be that he might be using Mr.Powers as a ( related ) means , to point a finger of suspicion subliminally , at the FBI , for not having told the South Lake Tahoe Police the whole truth over the disappearance of Ms.Lass ( ? ) - or , even accuse the FBI over wasting their ( the P.D.'s ) time , in investigations .
This matter has been going on , without a resolution for two years .
It is perhaps time that you try to find a politician who will listen to your concerns .

If anyone , like Apple Florez , has an issue with an aspect of the Zodiac case , for which they feel is not receiving satisfactory attention , then :
i ) Prepare a hand-written letter , outlining your concerns .
ii ) Contact the office of the politician , leaving personal details , and informing them in advance that a letter from you is on its way . Secure the name of the person you speak to , as a future reference .
iii ) Once , as should be the case that they reply to your letter , then emailing is acceptable thereafter , if this option is given by the politician's office .

Seeing as it remains yet confirmed that a photo that is suggested '' might '' be of a middle-aged Donna Lass, from circa 1980's, belongs to :
Either :
Phillip Powers
Or :
Detective Jake Herminghuis
....then the mystery over whether Donna Lass was still alive, as a middle-age women, is advanced no further.
If the photo belongs to Detective Jake Herminghuis of the South Lake Tahoe P.D. , then :
One possibility is, that the photo is of a sister of Donna Lass. Donna had three sisters. Her sister that was closest in age was Karen Katherine Lass Lounsbery - just 32 months older than Donna. Karen died February 10th 2020. There is one photo of Karen, at her obituary site, aged about 75, and I can see that the photo of a middle-age woman owned by either Phillip Powers or Detective Jake Herminghuis '' might '' be one depicting Donna's sister Karen.
ONE explanation for the emergence of the photo is, that Detective Jake Herminghuis is not happy by what he believes that he has found, in investigating the disappearance of Donna Lass. It may be that Herminghuis believes that '' another police force '' has known information about Donna Lass, for which that other police force has never disclosed publicly, to anyone else. Be it the South Lake Tahoe P.D.......OR even, Donna's family.
Detective Jake Herminghuis would be more than welcome to visit this site to refute or admit any inferences that he feels that I may have made. He would be treated with the utmost of respect and gratitude for making matters transparent, as they stand.

Perhaps, for historical accuracy, it should be pointed out that the FBI were involved in investigating the initial disappearance of Donna Lass, a nurse residing in South Lake Tahoe who, failed to turn up for work, having completed her previous work shift in the early hours of September 6th 1970. This was followed by an anonymous phone call to her employers, explaining that Donna had now left South Lake Tahoe and would not be returning to her work. Donna's car was later found abandoned, with Donna registered as a missing person ever since.
It was the FBI, facilitated by the San Francisco Chronicle who, suggested that they had good reasons to believe that the Zodiac Killer may have been responsible for Donna's disappearance, and possible death. But, with no body ever discovered anyway, this claim by the FBI remains unconfirmed, as a statement of fact.

Donna Ann Lass disappeared from South Lake Tahoe, September 6th 1970. Donna was born in South Dakota, November 3rd 1944.
Donna had three sisters :
i) Karen Katherine Lass Lounsbery - Born South Dakota, March 14th 1942. Died February 10th 2020.
ii) Mary Kathleen Lass Pilker - Born South Dakota, June 22nd 1934. Died November 17th 2019.
iii) Marjorie Marie Lass Bellach - Born South Dakota, July 11th 1929. Died July 31st 2006.
Donna also had two brothers :
i) Eugene Lass - 1923 - 2014
ii) Raymond Lass - 1919 - 1988
Donna's parents : James Lass - 1897 - 1973 ; Frances Kuker Lass - 1900 - 1982.

Was the photo of a middle-age woman, a picture that actually depicts Karen Katherine Lass Lounsbery - a sister of Donna Lass ?
The photo in electronic form, currently resides at zodiackiller.com
Perhaps a member of zodiackiller.com might like to transfer the photo of Karen Katherine Lass Lounsbery at her obituary site, and place it beside the photo of the middle-age woman, for visual comparison ?
(....or indeed, a comparison to Donna's other two sisters ? )

Of possible relevance to the disappearance of Donna Lass is the news, now a year on ( September 2020 ) of the discovery of a skull, just off a cycling path ( Flume Trail ) about 5 miles from Incline village, Lake Tahoe.
The skull and unspecified other body parts were sent to Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office. But, a year on, no further news.
Of possible extra note is, that although the apparently '' belated '' and presumed but officially unconfirmed Zodiac Pines Card, included a graphic depicting Incline Village, the skull was actually found within a mile of the former site of the tourist attraction '' The Ponderosa Ranch ''.
Of possible coincidence is that the Sacramento Bee reported the discovery of the body of missing nurse Judith Hakari, in a shallow grave, next to an old mine shaft beside '' Ponderosa Way '' at the village of Weimar, about half-way between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe....on April 25th 1970.
Of possible further coincidence is that the Zodiac mailed his '' Dragon Card '' depicting two '' Miner 49ers '' on April 28th 1970 - the day following the Sacramento Bee's Judith Hakari reportage ( April 27th 1970 ).
Of possible further coincidence is that the first adult suspect of the double-murder at Lake Herman Road, and then still a prime Zodiac suspect, William Joseph Grant, owned a luxury chalet at the village of Weimar which, he would often use as his weekend retreat.
It appears unlikely that either the Zodiac or William Joseph Grant were responsible for the death of Judith Hakari ( or indeed Donna Lass ) - but it certainly looks as if the Zodiac seized an opportunity with the Weimar-linked Judith Hakari discovery, to palm-blame Grant for complicity in Judith's murder.
Palm-blaming William Joseph Grant, to the point of persecution, does seem to have held an all too familiar theme with the Zodiac Killer.
