Nice find! I also noticed the number "340". I am not sure why most believe that Zodiac was in the Navy? Perhaps because there was a Navy base in Vallejo, we had a lot of sailors there?. The Jacket that I saw on my Honcho suspect in 1968, was Army green with a brown fur like collar. Two Army shirts were put in my garage back in the 1980's, one was smaller than the other. I have no idea who they belonged to and why they were put in my garage? Unless it was a clue left by Honcho, to let me know there were two of them?
Strange items were put in my garage over the years,a map and lots of female clothes and shoes, purses. They were neatly stacked and put in brown paper bags. Everything was from the 60's and 70's. Could have been from victims that we don't know about? I recently found the three earrings that were at the bottom of the ammo can ,that were planted in my car in Napa on the same day as the killing costume. One was a gold screw on cross and the other two were a pair of gold lacy earrings that came from what I believe were pierced ears? ( The part that went into the ears was missing from the pair)
Honcho gave one earring to the bartender I was working with, he told him that he believed it was my earring. It was a Gold letter "D". Was he telling me he knew my last name was Davis at one time? Or was he giving me a clue to either the Darlene or Donna Lass murder?

I just read your blog, interesting what you found. I use to live at the south end of the Napa river, before I moved to the new home on Navarre st off of Imola, close to the State Hospital. I have also done some work on the ciphers and knew Lyndon Lafferty ( My dear friend) who taught code. He gave me a few tips in solving them. I see that you also found the name "Robert". I have it in the last 18 of the 408, except he spelled "Robert" Robeet. (The Hardens had it pretty close) My suspect told me it was something like "It me the hipie robeet". I say "something like" , because it is off the top of my head. Too lazy at the moment to dig through my notes. At the bottom of the clue my suspect gave me were the words "5 e's the 5th letter". ( There are 5 e's in that cipher) I am guessing that he meant where he used numbers, they corresponded to the alphabet? (one being A etc.) The three 8's could be the letter H , like Hernandez the third?
The 340 I believe is the start of his last name Hernandez. In the my name cipher I have R Hernandez ,R being where the K is. The rest I got from the solved 408, using what the Hardens found. The three 8s I left out, could be his birth yr 1938?
The K has the / symbol, but if you reverse / to \ you get the R, That is where he tries to trick.
The Celebrity cipher ,I do believe Lyndon found a good solution. He told me that he saw the front of that card and that it said "Ocean Beach" Ca. and the picture showed lots of driftwood on the beach. I have tried to contact Byron Tate, who was the editor who received the card. I met him in 1990, he paid me a very nice compliment, telling me that of all the people he had spoke to about the z case. That I was the first one who had all of the t's crossed and I's dotted. We kept in touch even after he moved to AR. I wish I knew at that time the VTH did have a Robert Hernandez working there in 1969. ( He and his wife lived in Napa)

About where the bomb was planted, I went to the top of the MT Diablo and checked mag north. It pointed very close to where what was believed to be a bomb site past Clayton to the north east. It could have been a bomb that was set to cause the San Andrus Island levee break, which happened next to where I worked at the Spindrift Marina restaurant/ bar. It happened on June 21st 1972 .
July 4th the yr before, a fire was started at the Spindrift and at the other restaurant owned also by my boyfriends father! My boyfriend was shot at around that same time. I don't think that all of that was just coincidences. ( My suspect went after anyone I was dating, even some who were just my friends)
I was driving in that direction minutes before the levee broke ,it dug a hole 12 ft wide and 12 feet deep. I know it was not when Zodiac said it would go off, but what if the first one was a dud and he planted another one two yrs later also in June?
