The Rev. William Franklin Graham ( November 7th 1918 - February 21st 2018 ) was an American Protestant Evangelist , who became a spiritual adviser to many world leaders , including all Presidents of the USA , from Harry Truman to Barack Obama . And , even friends to some , including H.M. Queen Elizabeth II who bestowed a knighthood upon him .
Born in Charlotte , North Carolina , Billy Graham started his evangelical career as a New Baptist Minister , in Illinois .
Graham went on the road , with his preaching , and hosted '' Crusade '' campaign tours , for much of his life .
In 1949 , these religious meetings that look place in Los Angeles , were brought to the attention of the newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst and , featured coverage in Hearst's newspapers secured a celebrity status for Graham .
But Graham courted disfavour as well . Clearly , not overly trusted by the Catholic Church , and controversially was caught on Watergate Tapes deriding a '' Jewish stranglehold '' on the media , with Richard Nixon , he was not always a welcome phenomenon .
In the last 18 months , the FBI have published files on Billy Graham , and I would suggest that one of his greatest detractors , was the serial killer and extortionist , The Zodiac Killer .

Among a number of correspondences of hate , published by the FBI , are two from 1979 , and both emanating from Florida .
The first , a postcard within a pre-dated envelope , is postmarked '' Miami Florida '' , and dated April 25th 1979 .
The envelope addressed to : THE CHIEF OF POLICE , MONTREAT , NORTH CAROLINA .
One might bear in mind that Billy Graham made his birthplace , his home for life : Charlotte , Black Mountain , North Carolina .
The content of the postcard enclosed :
'' IF YOU EVER GET CAUGHT UP WITH YOUR WORK AND CAN'T find ANYTHING TO DO , I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU LYNCH THAT 666 anti christ devil goat and millionaire billy graham . I honestly think he is the sorriest son of a bitch to ever shit between two pairs of shoes . If you should lynch the anti christ son of a bitch billy graham I believe god would forgive you before his 27 MILLIONAIRE ass got cold . I FEEL SORRY FOR THE PEOPLE OF MONTREAT WHO HAVE TO LIVE NEAR THAT NO GOOD BEGGING BASTARD . THAT FART HAS BEEN ON TV SINCE 1953 BEGGING FOR MONEY TO KEEP HIM RICH . GRADY WILSON ONE OF HIS PARTNERS IN CRIME MAKES $600,000 a year . Hell was invented for people like hitler and graham . Good luck if you ever have to lynch the son of a bitch . ''
On initial inspection , some key '' Zodiac '' words and expressions . For example , '' lynch '' ; '' devil '' ; '' ass '' ; '' fart '' ; '' hell '' . Also , a semblance of similarity with '' can't find anything to do '' , and '' can't do anything with it '' .
But , this April 25th 1979 correspondence was typed . On June 11th 1979 , and just over 6 weeks later , a handwritten letter was sent to Billy Graham , personally , and I would suggest , some '' telling '' handwriting similarities . To come .

The second correspondence , was postmarked '' Orlando Florida '' and dated June 11th 1979 .
Its envelope addressed to : Rev.Billy Graham , Black Mountain , N.Carolina .
The letter's content :
'' Dear Rev.Graham : There is a contract out on you . I wouldn't appear at any conventions if I were you . If you go to Houston you will be killed . Please heed this warning ! I am a Christian now but I have underworld connections . Please retire from active life and speaking ! - A servant of God and brother in Christ ''
Handwriting is in the eye of the beholder , for the amateur sleuth , but I would suggest that words , such as '' Please '' ( Please Rush to Editor ) ; '' Christian '' ( Chronicle ) , and '' speaking '' ( speaking ) , might demand close attention ( ? ) . In addition , syntax habits , such as the use of underlining .
Some inference , by the letter's content :
A Christian - The same New Baptist order as Billy Graham ( ? ) .
Familiarity with Houston , Texas , with prior knowledge that this city posed particular peril for Graham ( ? ) .
The use of '' underworld '' , suggesting '' criminal classes '' , but duplicitous with his '' living dead '' references to '' slaves in paradice '' ( ? ) .
But , in real life , what was the writer doing in Orlando , in June ? Often associated with Disney World and family recreational holidays .
A year prior , a presumed Zodiac had sent the Channel 9 letter , referring to '' All good children go to heaven '' and with an '' Anaheim '' postmark . Anaheim associated , primarily , with Disneyland . Could it be that the Zodiac was a family man , who had visited Disneyland , Anaheim , in May 1978....and then the next year , taken his family to Disney World , Orlando , in June 1979 ( ? ) .

As a postscript to the June 11th 1979 letter , which stated '' If you go to Houston you will be killed '' , Billy Graham did appear in Houston on June 13th 1979 .
But , the conclusions drawn by the FBI were , that the letter would never have been processed quickly enough , to have informed Rev.Graham that his life might be in danger .
The inference being that the writer was issuing a knowingly empty threat .
Nonetheless , Billy Graham stated afterwards , that he had no plans to return to Houston , in the near future .

The religious festival of Michaelmas is celebrated on September 29th of each year .
Michaelmas celebrates the taking up of arms , by the Archangel Michael and his fellow angels , Gabriel and Raphael , against Lucifer and his '' Hell's Angels '' , and banishing Lucifer from the goodly world , for ever more .
And , so it might seem quite strange , to observe a letter sent , and postmarked May 27th 2009 , to 710 Locust Street , Knoxville TN , with references to Michaelmas , in addition to many other conundrum writings on the envelope .
Why ? Because 710 Locust Street , Knoxville TN , is the address of the John J Duncan building , which represents a major US Internal Revenue Service center .
On the envelope , is included the following :

Top Secret
'' Pau '' actually refers to Corinthians , as told by '' Paul '' , in the Bible , and states :
'' I must go on boasting . Although there is nothing to be gained , I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord .''
'' Rev. '' actually refers to Revelations , in the Bible , and states :
'' And war broke out on heaven . Michael and his angels fought with the dragon ( Lucifer ) , and the dragon and his ( Hell's ) angels fought . ''
There is certainly a semblance of these writings on the envelope , resembling writing in the Zodiac's Bomb Diagram of April 20th 1970 . In addition , a letter written to the FBI , to congratulate them on their ABSCAM sting operation , from February 1980 ( ABSCAM FBI File 1 , Page 36 ) .
But , let us now delve into the letter , of May 27th 2009 itself , and more inferences to Michaelmas . In addition , a letter writer ( Zodiac ? ) who did actually join up his writing , if he felt so disposed . A letter that was signed : St.Michael + .

And so , to the content of the letter , which starts :
'' Dear ---- , Tell ----- that if he wants to be my friend He had better come across with my Top Secret manuscript I wrote in May of '87 -- '' confidential ''. Tell Dr./ Rev. Billy Graham that I need to talk to him in private Regarding the resurrection out from the dead , death , devil , thow ( ? ) , wrath . God Almighty trying to fool Lucifer ! ''
This use of '' Tell '' is reminiscent of the October 1987 letter . In this letter , with double the required postage , there is a possible inference to extra writings , that were not revealed , beyond the basic letter . At the end of the October 1987 letter , the presumed Zodiac writes :
'' Tell Toschi of my new plans . ''
Could it be that the Zodiac , in May 2009 , and referring to a manuscript that he wrote in 1987 , was indicating that disgraced Inspector Dave Toschi might like to be his , the Zodiac's , friend ( ? ) . Now , perhaps , that the Zodiac's '' Secret Pal '' , Paul Avery had passed on .
OR ! - and probably more likely , the writer of this May 27th 2009 letter , was indicating Robert Graysmith who , had written the eponymous and successful book , '' ZODIAC '' , which saw a publishing date , in January 1987 . And now , in May 2009 , the David Fincher's Hollywood film of 2007 , had further enhanced the legendary status of the Zodiac himself...and to an extent , Robert Graysmith also .
So , this May 27th 2009 letter , might be the following :
'' Dear Taxman , Tell Graysmith that if he wants to be my friend , He had better come across with my Top Secret manuscript I wrote in May of '87 - '' confidential ''. Tell Dr./Rev. Billy Graham that I need to talk to him in private regarding the resurrection out from the dead , death , devil , thow ( ? ) , wrath . God Almighty trying to fool Lucifer ! ''
And , perhaps it is the case now , that since Robert Graysmith was touting Arthur Leigh Allen as the identity of the Zodiac....then the Zodiac , in this May 2009 letter , is taking a further sarcastic swipe at Robert Graysmith , by inferring that he , the Zodiac , was still very much alive .
The letter continues....
'' We are going to take the war of all wars to the cross this year ! On my birthday --- '' Midnight Hour '' . '' Behold the Bride --- groom cometh '' . OH ! There is going to be a wedding up in heaven , when the bridegroom meets the bride ! Arch-angels will be singing , joy will be ringing at the wedding in the sky ! So pray , fast , believe and hope ! OFFICIAL ORDERS F.B.I. + SECRET SERVICE . St. Michael + ''
( Strange ( ? ) - how '' Midnight Hour '' found itself on the Halloween Card believed to have been sent to Robert Graysmith .)
At this May 27th 2009 time , the Commissioner of the IRS was Douglas H.Shulman .The Director of the FBI was Robert Mueller .

The Michaelmas tie , between the extortionist and Billy Graham , showing itself , in the letter of May 2009 , had , more than likely emanated from two letters sent to Billy Graham , in August 1976 , 33 years earlier .
Between August 8th 1976 and August 20th 1976 , and while Rev.Graham had been on his '' Crusades '' tour in San Diego CA , two letters from the pen of the same author , were mailed to Billy Graham , in North Carolina . One letter bore an Inglewood , CA postmark , and the other , a Long Beach CA postmark .
The fist letter illustrated Hell's Angels and a Roman cross , and gave poetry , which started :
'' Legion of Hell's Angels . Your cup for we is a cup for thee . That's no mystery ! ''
The accompanying letter , was as follows :
'' Dear Mr.Billy Graham , you are being given enough rope to hang yourself with . Traitor to the King in the face of the enemy is betrayal and murder . Just because I am surrounded by the army of the man of sin , with all manner of means , does not mean you're going to escape, and get away with murders . Just because you refuse to bear a cross and give up lip service instead . ''
The second of these August letters , from California , set some '' Murder Mystery Riddles '' , starting :
'' I'm glad the Church is looking out for me , instead of living deliciously ! ''
The accompanying letter :
'' Dear Mr.Billy Graham .Refusing to answer and act on these letters will prove you are refuseing ( sic ) to lift a finger for God , and against The Dragon . ''
Again , implying that Billy Graham must surely be Lucifer , the Devil himself .

With a hardcover copy of Robert Graysmith's '' Zodiac '' book , first available in 1986 , by December 1987 then , the Zodiac would have started to become aware that a documentation of his nefarious deeds , was now making Graysmith a rich man .
And so we may be able to observe the caustic wit of the Zodiac , and perhaps biting on his tongue ( ? ) , with the employment of a Billy Graham business envelope and on view , with a 27th Dec. Las Vegas postmark . A Billy Graham business pay cheque also , with $100 made out to Billy Graham - that so clearly bounced .
The following note was enclosed , also :
'' Billy Graham , you phoney want to be preacher , do you really think that a sane man would send you money ? A sane person would send you a bomb to blow your fuckin ass from here to oblivion , you want to know why - because you are an asshole !!! - Your friend The Grim Reaper . ''

From November 10th 1984 , a letter sent , from Marina Del Rey , CA . , to Billy Graham , as the Director of the National Center on Child Abuse & Adult Drug '' A££lications '' ,in Washington D.C. . Billy Graham had no vested interest , nor link of any sort , with this organization .
But , a '' buy in '' as such , for an extortionist , using commercialised stationary from a personal injuries law practice , to have a dig at Graham , and perhaps , express a few peeves of his own ( ? ) .

An envelope , postmarked October 5th 1993 , from Asheville , North Carolina , and addressed to the FBI office , in the same town .
Inside the envelope was found a commercial slip , with respect to either , donations to the Billy Graham Evangelical Association , or orders for Billy Graham's latest book , entitled '' Facing Death '' .
The extortionist / hoaxer had simply written :
'' I kill god fearing people for pleasure kill ! ! kill ! ! ''

An interesting set of events took place , in December 2018 , which certainly look now to be linked .
On December 12th , The Diablo Valley College received gun violence threats , by way of graffiti in the form of message , signed '' - Z '' , which told '' Imbecile Classmates '' to '' Get Ready '' . Similar choice words and expressions were employed , a number of times over the next few months , and the FBI became involved , as well as local police .
On December 12th 2018 - '' Get Ready Imbeciles - Z '' message .
On December 14th 2018 - The San Francisco Chronicle publish a Zodiac related article , and debut the '' 2001 New Year's Card '' .
On December 17th 2018 - The FBI publish '' The William ( Billy ) Graham FBI Files '' .
Just 10 months earlier , Rev. Billy Graham had died , aged 99 years , and within 5 days of a very public Zodiac related message , the Rev.Graham's files are published , with the FBI's involvement in both occurrences , as well as the Zodiac's 2001 New Year's Card .
With respect to the Rev.Billy Graham , he first received a letter of extortion from someone calling themselves '' St.Michael + '' , in August 1976 , with two letters from Inglewood and Long Beach , California .
And then again , the name of '' St.Michael + '' turned up again , in a letter to the Inland Revenue Services , and asking them to tell Billy Graham that this author wanted a private meeting with him , over a '' Top Secret Manuscript '' .This letter , from May 27th 2009 , and 33 years after the letters from California .

St.Michael ?
In most Protestant Churches of Christianity , St.Michael is known as '' Archangel Michael '' , the leader of the army of God , against the force of evil , represented by Satan .
The original battle that St.Michael undertook , is documented in the '' Epistle of Jude '' , which can be found in the book of Revelations , in the Bible's New Testament .
In the Roman Catholic , Eastern Orthodox and Anglican forms of Christianity , St.Michael is known as '' Saint Michael the Taxiarch ''.
A Taxiarch is Greek for a Brigadier , and derives from '' taxis '' , meaning '' military orders '' .

In a letter to the IRS , sent to their Knoxville TN offices , on May 27th 2009 , the author writes :

With acknowledgement of research carried out by the Zodiac contributor , Michael Butterfield :
On Page 324 of Robert Graysmith's 2002 published '' Zodiac Unmasked '' , Graysmith writes :
'' Recall that on Thursday December 18th 1969 , Zodiac rang the attorney's ( Melvin Belli's ) housekeeper and remarked that to-day was his birthday . Two days later , Dec.20th , a letter from Zodiac arrived at Belli's office .''
The implication is that Robert Graysmith was not wholly truthful in this passage , and stated that a call was placed on December 18th which , is the birthday of Graysmith's adopted suspect , Arthur Leigh Allen .
How do we know that Graysmith was not being wholly truthful ?
The information with regard to a phone call received by Melvin Belli's housekeeper did not become public knowledge , until some Zodiac Killer FBI Files were released in 1999 . The FBI's information infers that the call from someone claiming to be the Zodiac and declaring his birthday was made , shortly before January 14th 1970 . It is suspected that this person was actually a well-known Zodiac hoaxer , named Eric Weil . Weil's birth date is January 10th 1940 .
And so , returning to the letter sent to the IRS in Knoxville , on May 27th 2009 :
When the author referred to '' On my Birthday '' , was this a further sarcastic swipe , at Robert Graysmith , for not having been truthful about claiming a December 18th 1969 date , for the phone call received by Melvin Belli's housekeeper ?
Does this add to the double-implication that the author of the Knoxville letter was referring to Robert Graysmith , as well as already in writing , Rev.Billy Graham ?
And , that this author is the Zodiac .

Rev.Billy Graham's views on the subject of Abortion , courted controversy . He was not pro-abortion , as such , but not wholly anti-abortion , either .
A quote from Billy Graham , appearing in the 1997 Christian Workers Handbook , was received with mixed reaction :
'' We should accept abortion in the cases of rape or incest , or if the child is thought to harm the life of a mother .''
In the Billy Graham FBI Files , there appears an electronically typed letter of request of the US DOJ , that they release material on Billy Graham , to the public . The letter is dated May 19th 1999 , and appears on writing paper which has been stamped : '' ABORTION ADULT KILLING KIDS ''.
For , in effect , a FOIA request , its content does seem a little '' over the top '' :
'' I especially request all material printed , handwritten , audio , video and any kind of correspondence between the CIA , NSA , FBI , Domestic , Foreign , past or present .''
Six months later , and on November 11th 1999 , a copy of the letter was sent to the US DOJ again , signed off as '' Just a Citizen '' , and with a handwritten postscript , which said :
'' Could you let me know the status of the above information I requested on May 19th 1999 .''
The envelope employed had a 33 cent postage stamp , and stamped on it was '' ABORTION MOTHER KILLING HER BABY ''.
In reply to this reminder letter , one month later , the US DOJ officially turned down the request , pointing out that information requested of an individual who is still alive ( Billy Graham ) must be accompanied with a privacy waver from that individual , or that in the case of someone now deceased , a death certificate .
Did the first batch of Zodiac Killer FBI File releases , in 1999 , take place before May 19th 1999 ? It may be possible that the Zodiac anticipated viewing letters of threat that he had made to Billy Graham , in the past ( ? ) , but was disappointed to find otherwise .
