Sorry, I'm posting too much. I did think the symbol was pentene, but since the Periodic Table has its origins in alchemy, they may well share the same derivation.
I still think the cattle brand may be a clew. Sometimes, to throw us off, he gives us a clew with several plausible explanations, because he thinks we'll assume that since there are several possibilities, neither/none can be true.
But then again, he also loves double clues - a sort of cognitive pun.
On balance, I'd go with the science connection though, as the symbol would connect with 'cerrous' and other oddities.
Fascinating insight into contemporary attitudes to the occult. Crowley had one Commandment, which is 'Do what thou wilt'. (I think LaVey changed it to 'Do what you want'.) Ha! Get some grammar lessons and don't tell me what to do! And Satan is a character in Paradise Lost!
Incidentally, they think that if someone kills you, and you don't die, your karma is good. Bad karma? No chance. In other words, it's the victim's fault. in a previous life. A higher power will decide whatever is meant to happen.
Note he has no concept of what a human being is.
Really interesting documentary. Beautiful lion. Note at 21:50.
An extremely dangerous psychopath (born, not made). I'd say he was capable of great violence, by knife. Warning -very long, with awful alleged music.
Interview with LaVey's daughter. Deeply disturbing. Who knows? It sounds genuine to me, as do the facts and names, as far as I know, and with no extraneous detail. (I can hardly hear it.)
But it seems Lavey was a cop. (There are no records.) Plus, she mentions'organised crime' and the Council of Thirteen.
Did you know that Sharon Tate's last film (with Orson Welles...) was called '12+1'? Alternate title, '13 Chairs'? It involves the repeated disembowelment of stuffed chairs, tracked down one by one throughout the film, and features a gentleman's hairdresser who invents... a cure for baldness, just as Kirk D thought Jay Sebring did. www.newspapers.com/newspage/5376149/ (I'm a film anorak.)
I've figured out how to find threads now. Sorry. I mean well but I know I must be annoying! Thank goodness there are good researchers on here who can find out more. I'm away to look for a thread on LaVey. I may be gone for some time.
Oops. He might not be dead. All of the above was allegedly. But wait. Fake your own death and you lose the right to sue! As far as I knew, he was dead, so no mens rea! Either way, he is or was a consummate piece of garbage.
Rubislaw32: The FBI document what they are willing to give of that San Jose letter & cryptogram. A note accompanying the cryptogram starts: ''There is no doubt I will do my Thing !''. And ends with a crosshairs symbol. Also, Nov = 8 and (-+62+-). As for Jane Doe 59 ?

Rubislaw32: Prospective therefore: Nov 21st 1969, San Jose PD receive Z's letter & cryptogram. Cryptogram answers Dr Marsh's challenge (Z = The Walrus). But, also indicates Z is responsible for Reet (Jane Doe 59); threatens local widow & contains a Stine shirt swatch.
Sept 26, 2023 13:45:24 GMT -8
Rubislaw32: Indeed - the scenario presents itself that since June 2015, investigators are looking at the possibility that Z stabbed Reet to death, in order to copy what Karl Werner was later proven to have done to Snoozy & Furlong. Reet was Z's real 6th murder victim.

Rubislaw32: In the scheme of Z-matters after Paul Stine Oct. 11th 1969: Time and again, indications point to the gun Z used on Stine was the one Z used as a threatening tool at Lake Berryessa. After Stine, Z had no guns left. Was Reet a Z-copycat of Snoozy & Furlong ?

Rubislaw32: Extra, and as reported on Reet Jurvetson, investigating police know that her body was transported in the back passenger seating of a car to that part of Mulholland Drive where she was dumped. They have her clothes & a pair of spectacles left behind. DNA ?

Rubislaw32: ..(March 1979, Dundee) & Elizabeth McCabe (February 1980, Dundee); Joan Webster (November 1981, Boston) & finally Emma Caldwell (April 2005, Glasgow). Of the 5, Ms Webster & Ms Caldwell favoured. Nov. 6th may show if The DOG show further Caldwell interest.

Rubislaw32: As a current overview on prospective Zodiac murders after Paul Stine, Reet Jurvetson (November 14th 1969, L.A.) must come into the reckoning. More than likely the Zodiac's 8th claimed victim - but like Snoozy & Furlong, probably a lie. Then, Carol Lannen..
Sept 26, 2023 10:34:07 GMT -8
Rubislaw32: And Mr Mueller, as you attempt to settle into retirement with, officially, a distinguished public service record - you might like to reflect that you have simply joined a growing line of shamed individuals having obstructed Z-justice. The DOG know. Oh yes.
Sept 26, 2023 4:41:23 GMT -8
Rubislaw32: ..deftly avoided big problems within the FBI. A couple being Comey's theft of high-profile Zodiac outlier Joan Webster's casefile - and that your young protege back in 2001, Dan Olson, has run amok with Z-disinformation - and fooled the whole world twice !
Sept 26, 2023 4:03:46 GMT -8
Rubislaw32: Well, there you go Mr Robert Swan Mueller III - from a privileged family, and likes to tell everyone that your parents would not tolerate deceit among their children. And yet, as appointed Special Investigator, and after a $30 million report, you have so..

Rubislaw32: Tom: I feel a pot of gold coming my way. Ms Betts: I have never known Tom to make up a lie. Tom: Yes, it's Gyke for me as Zodiac. Ms Betts: Honcho's English was not his 1st language & why he spelt poorly. Tom: I have no reason to doubt what Sandy tells me.

Rub--law32: To Vallejo PD : My sympathies over ''2 envelopes & a secret lab''. It must have been a surprise finding Poyser's lackey Voigt back as your (misleading) spokesman ? I know - you just won't lower yourselves to his level. Impersonation of a public official.
Sept 25, 2023 20:15:50 GMT -8
Rubislaw32: It came to a point, 4 years ago, that whatever Voigt does, the cops will never entertain him again - unless they need to arrest him. Better that he spends most of his time hurling bricks and insults at the Reddit sub for having 69,000 members. Impressive.
Sept 25, 2023 19:52:55 GMT -8
Chart Observer: You say, Rubislaw32, that Voigt "has a number of good & talented contributors at his site". I wouldn't know. But if this is "your site", I like it!
Sept 25, 2023 19:40:29 GMT -8
Rubislaw32: ''Welch''Chappie is an old Voigt joke. On yer bike Muppet.
Sept 25, 2023 19:30:10 GMT -8
Rubislaw32: In answer to Chart Observer's question, I have NO aka's. At one time I used ''Obstacleisagiven'' at Reddit, merely because Voigt had stolen Rubislaw32. Creating a whole file of aka's is his specialty of course - and one reason why cops won't tolerate him.
Sept 25, 2023 19:26:47 GMT -8
Chart Observer: I like it when Tom chimes in ...
Sept 25, 2023 19:20:20 GMT -8
Rubislaw32: Voigt has a number of good & talented contributors at his site. Most must surely have twigged what is going on ? Presumably they feel they have nowhere else to go. Sadly, some talented one's like Tahoe 27 have fled the nest of madness already. A shame.
Sept 25, 2023 19:15:00 GMT -8
Chart Observer: Hey Rubislaw32, how many aka's do you have?
