Remember the "Open Letter to Zodiac" that Graysmith said was sent to the Chronicle? It mentioned two women, and that Z belonged in an asylum. Here's something from the Seattle Times of 3-25-21 that seems to address those women. Think they'll come forward? 3.25.21 Seattle Times.pdf (751.11 KB) The Personal Ad says: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! TO THE ZODIAC SISTER/S Life is short, Eternity is long
When passing thru, don’t get it WRONG
Didn’t you say, in an asylum he belongs?
Eph. 5:11 “Take no share in the fruitless deeds of evil and darkness. But instead expose them.”
Out the truth will inevitably come
For Truth never dies.
Those who tell what they know was done,
Look better in the public’s eyes
Than if they play dumb.
I’ve set up a fail-safe. See:
If anything dire happens to me
(or any I love) what I gave the cops gets published immediately.
And what will happen if he is gone?
The same! The same!
Time marches on.

Thanks for posting this, from the Seattle Times 3.25.21, GhostVoice. Certainly looks interesting. The Three Little Maids from The Mikado always seem to come to mind, with the mention of '' Sisters '' since, in the Texas Mikado version they are referred to as The Three Sisters. In addition, that there is a range of mountains in Oregon, known as '' The Three Sisters ''.
Do you have a more specific reference to the '' Open Letter to Zodiac '', sent to the SF Chronicle ?
Or,if you are able, to reproduce it in this thread.
Much appreciate.

Just on a note of curiosity, GhostVoice. It seems a little strange that your posting name is an anagram for '' chose Voigt ''.
Is this an entirely innocent coincidence ? We have to be careful about these sort of matters, here at ZKM, after a Zodiac hoaxing scandal, that roped in Pleasant Hill P.D. and the FBI.

On December 17th 2020, it was announced that local publishing company, Clint Reilly Communications, had acquired the San Francisco Examiner, with a perceived '' sister '' relationship with the San Francisco Chronicle coming to an end.
Three months later, this Seattle Times personal ad. is published, referring to '' Zodiac Sister/s ''.
So, it is possible that the author of this personal ad. was unsure as to whether he should be addressing one or both newspapers, with their '' sister newspaper '' historical associations in the case of the Zodiac Killer.

Hi Rubislaw,
In answer to your question, my screen name has nothing to do with Voigt. I don't conceal anagrams in anything I post.
No, I have nothing more on the letter sent to the Chronicle published in Graysmith's book. I contacted the Chronicle about it some years ago. They said they have no record of it. I contacted the FBI about it, but their preliminary free search turned up nothing. They asked me to pay by hour for a more extensive search, but I already had given them the date. If their files are so haphazard they can't find it by the date, I don't think paying for a further search would help. I wish this site would notify my of responses. If that's a site feature, I would appreciate knowing how to activate it. Thanks for your interest and reply.

I think the poem in the Seattle Times refers to the author's knowing the sisters of the Zodiac Killer. The poem refers to the "Open letter to the Zodiac" sent to the Chronicle in which the letter writer stated that the Zodiac Killer belongs in an asylum. The reference to an asylum can't have anything to do with the newspaper acquisition, can it?

Thanks for getting back, GhostVoice . It appears that Admin or the Moderators have not been in a position to notify you automatically on responses to your posts - and you might want to take the matter up with them, for future further involvement at this site.
But good that you did get back in touch - and thank you, once again.
Yes.. not hearing from you initially, did have a few '' tongues wagging '' elsewhere ( lol, ironically ) as to your true identity and, even '' whispers '' that you could be the Zodiac himself ( ! ). Given the intrigue over the Seattle Times personal ad.
The long and the short of it seems to be that we can't be sure of very much and, the message created in rhyming verse doesn't exactly help in establishing Zodiac authenticity of the message, as placed in the Seattle Times.
It appears now, that the Seattle Times have removed the original personal ad. from their electronic archived edition of March 25th 2021. So, more than likely that they contacted the appropriate law enforcement authorities about the said personal ad. ( The FBI ? ) .
Seems therefore, that we are unlikely to receive any official answers over the conundrum of the personal ad.'s placement or composition content.
But, a great addition to this site, with hopefully more discussion and debate to come.
Thanks.

To further inform, and a request to any members here or friendly visitors, I have been told that in Robert Graysmith's second Zodiac book '' Zodiac Unmasked '' ( published 2002 ), Graysmith gives mention of an '' asylum '' on pages 165 - 166 in that '' Zodiac Unmasked '' book .
If spotted, it would be appreciated that the passage in the book is posted here, so that everyone can have an examination of its context, and whether it holds any pertinence to the personal ad. verse, placed in the Seattle Times.
Appreciated.

Thanks, Rubislaw32,
The St. Patrick's day card received by a member of this board really reeks of Zodiac. I am surprised L.E. seems to have ignored it.

Well, you might have good reasons to think that, GhostVoice, but law enforcement know all about the card . As much as its journey in the internet and its affect on inspiring a graffiti artist to make a series of race hate and gun violence threats to schools and colleges in the Bay area, starting December 13th 2018, is concerned.
The graffiti artist was eventually apprehended in June 2019. But to date, no information on his identity, nor any punishment through the law courts, has ever been made public.
Ordinarily, local police departments would have dealt with this matter, on their own. But, the graffiti artist started signing his threats with '' Z '' and, coupled with matching references associated with the card and comments about the card , it became a Zodiac case matter also, with the FBI entering the fray on criminal investigations.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of a different line of investigation. I think the graffiti artist is an unfortunate distraction. Can you please send me a link to where that card is posted on this site? I thought I had bookmarked it, but apparently not. Thanks. Edit: I have searched for it, but can't find it. Thanks again.

L.E., especially in the Bay area, is very much impeded by prosecutors who are intent on releasing, not prosecuting, criminals. A month or so ago, the San Fran DA released a murderer. Within hours he murdered an 8 month old baby. The San Fran population is apparently good with that. As I posted elsewhere, it's an ideal time for Z to confess. He'll bask in all the glory he wants: flash bulbs going off in his face, his kisser plastered on magazines around the world, love struck babes proposing marriage, he might even get conjugal visits like the Night Stalker got. He's really throwing away a golden opportunity if he doesn't confess now.

The St.Patrick's or '' Greetings from Ireland '' card can be found in the '' Look what eye found '' thread, in the ciphers section, at this site.
