Well, well, well...
As appears now, it has not just been the Zodiac Killer that Mr Wray and his merry band, the FBI, plus hangers on, like the Reality T.V. cipher star Mr Oranchak....have had to concern themselves with, with recriminations over the D B Cooper related December 11th 2020 FBI Zodiac Tweet ( '' I knew '' letter ).
Now, leading D B Cooper sleuth, TOM COLBERT, breaks cover to pour scorn on the FBI, with a Zodiac hoax, assisted unwittingly ( or not ? ) by Fox News, and a tale about Colbert's 40-strong sleuth army declaring that previously unknown '' Gary Poste '' was the Zodiac Killer. The hoax survived in tact, for at least one day, before investigative journalist Billy Jensen '' blew the gaff '' on this '' Monkey Business ''.
With Halloween only three weeks away, there could be further Zodiac, or even D B Cooper related recriminations to come, for the FBI and their three grateful Cipher proteges, Oranchak & Co..

Yup...that's it in a nutshell - the FBI have lost their place at the head table, in the Zodiac case, to GCHQ and NSA. More often called the UKUSA Group which, might sometimes include intelligence contributions from Canada, Australia and New Zealand also.
After Director of the FBI James Comey's sacking by President Trump, there were bound to be changes behind the scenes, with Departments of Justice who, had had enough of Comey's particular brand of Federal Policing leadership. But more specifically, with regard to the case of the Zodiac Killer. The proof in the eating being Comey's behaviour following his meeting with Frank Mulholland who, had come with terrorism information and promise of extra Whitehall funding.
James Comey's indiscretions may not have been overly concerning to President Obama, who was a lawyer and, probably believed that all parties concerned would iron out their differences, with '' new boy '' Comey learning his lessons.
But, for businessman Donald Trump, his handover notes indicated that Comey was still viewed with suspicion and mistrust by Departments of Justice.
Time to eject the '' loose cannon '' from any government meddling. Trump just didn't need that sort of concern.
And further, if the FBI had taken the blow of their boss being fired, with good grace and learning from it - then all well and good. But, they didn't.
Instead, they immediately cosied up to the Hearst Corporation, in order to paint a false picture that they still held importance in the Zodiac Killer case.
Then, the wholly ridiculous nonsense about '' 2 envelopes & a secret lab '' with the vanity of a provincial cop's assistance. Certainly not convincing to the Benicia Herald immediately, and probably The Vallejo Times-Herald also who, nonetheless retained a dignified silence over the matter.
More recently now, the December 11th 2020 Tweet, with its reference to '' a cipher solved by private citizens '' and the false caring of the families of the Zodiac's victims.
But...lo and behold, it seems that then U.S. Attorney General William Barr pointed out his knowledge of mischievousness at play, and before December 21st 2020 - just within 10 days. Christopher Wray's sanctioned ploy had been rumbled by other intelligence services...that wondered what the hell was going on, with the FBI.
Now the FBI are stuck with their knowing false claim....and could further be at the mercy of the Zodiac Killer himself ( or impersonators ) who, might attempt to humiliate the FBI and their crypto unit, even more.
An attempt by the FBI to bait the Zodiac Killer, off their own bat, has already backfired.

Much of the sharing of information is performed by the ultra-sensitive STONEGHOST network which, has been claimed to contain '' the Western world's most closely guarded secrets ''.
It is of interest and gratitude to the new member '' GhostVoice '' who, furnished this site with the Zodiac-related personal ad. placed in the Seattle Times, March 25th 2021. A personal ad. only now available to view here, since the Seattle Times have deleted it from their electronic version of the newspaper's publication.
'' GhostVoice '' has yet to explain to this site, how it was that he came across the personal ad. and, how it was that he chose this site, in particular, with which to furnish the personal ad. .
I am sure that all members here would welcome a return from '' GhostVoice ''.

Nearly three weeks on, and our new member '' GhostVoice '' has not been back in touch.
No recriminations here - merely trying to establish who would have spotted the March 25th Personal Ad., referring to '' Zodiac sister/s '' in the Seattle Times and, notified the newspaper of a '' suspect '' customer.
Since STONEGHOST are the sharers of information to the Five Eyes FVEY then, it does look increasingly likely that it was NSA who spotted the '' rogue '' Personal Ad. .
For Zodiac case followers, I would suggest that this is for the general good of the case.
Just a relief it wasn't the FBI who, have seemed to have acted with selfishness, and lack of case probity, in recent times.
Phew.

And to be clear...my tendency, at present, is to believe that the Personal Ad. '' could '' certainly be from the real Zodiac. Apart from the poetic frippery, I think that he is genuinely concerned that if his name is exposed then his family members could be in danger. In addition, I see much of this type of rhyme exercise at the beginning of the FBI's File 2, on the Rev. Billy Graham. In that instance, likely that the Zodiac signed as '' St. Michael + ''.
Naturally, one wishes that the real Zodiac would give himself up. It seems clear to him that he is now known to certain LE agencies, both overt and covert.

The FBI release a 64th file on the D B Cooper case.
As entered in the '' Gary Poste '' thread, the FBI have released a new file with respect to the skyjacker Dan Cooper ( November 1st 2021 ).
However, no mention of anything further with regard to two further 10-digit codes related to the '' I knew '' typed letter of December 11th 1971. Simply on page 265 of the new file, a confirmation that the FBI are of the opinion that the the letter writer employed a Corona Electric portable typewriter.
And, I note now, that the FBI have removed the date that they released the Leroy Eldridge Cleaver files ( Spring 2021 ).
( Thanks FBI - I can't remember if the Cleaver files were released before or after March 25th 2021.)

Could be a bit of a pedantic observation, but the FBI, in their newly released D B Cooper file, were very specific about Dan Cooper subjecting '' 36 '' passengers to a hijacking. And, it does appear to be the case that it has always been reported that the jet airliner was carrying 37 passengers.
And so, in returning to focus on the possibility that the Zodiac's Exorcist letter of January 1974, was an admission of sorts ( An Exorcism ) that he, the Zodiac, had stolen the mantle of Dan Cooper, for the purposes of letter writing :
Me - 37, SFPD - 0 .
Perhaps it is the case that this confirms the Zodiac's thinking ( ? ), and mischievous culpability :
Me - ( 36 + Dan Cooper ), SFPD - 0 .
( '' Hey guys - this is what I got up to, while I was away. And an echo arose from the suicides grave ? You don't think I was actually going to miss an opportunity like that, given that the jumper obviously killed himself in the fall ? '' )

....moreover, a confirmation of why the Zodiac selected the following four '' sisters '' for carbon copies of '' his '' letter of December 11th 1971 :

Implication : '' THE SEVEN SEAS WASH NEW SEAT LOS A ''. ( as an imagined newspaper headline, from the Zodiac )
Implication : '' The Seven Seas eradicate new throne pretender ''.
Summary : A joyful Zodiac is celebrating the perception that the new pretender, Dan Cooper, to his throne of outlaw anti-hero, only lasted a few seconds in his attempt to wrestle that throne from the Zodiac who, still holds it, given that individuals such as Charles Manson are now incarcerated.

Just for the record, the FBI put back their date when they released their files on Leroy Eldridge Cleaver - April 27th 2021.
The 51st anniversary of the Sacramento Bee's exclusive reportage of the discovery of the body of Judith Hakari, next to an old mineshaft, at Weimar where, then Zodiac suspect William Joseph Grant had a luxury chalet and weekend retreat. The next day, the Zodiac posted his Dragon Card, depicting two Miner 49ers.
Cleaver was a successful writer, and one-time Minister of Information for the Black Panther Party. The Zodiac's Dragon Card mentioned '' Black Power '', and thought to be the only time he gave reference to this civil rights issue. But, Rubislaw 32's solution to the Z340 cipher indicates both overtly and in concealed messaging (Bident of Hades), that the Zodiac was taken by events at UCLA, on January 17th 1969, when BBP student leaders Bunchy Carter and John Huggins were assassinated by Claude ''Chuchessa'' Hubert - believed to be an FBI operative.
Alprentice Bunchy Carter was Eldridge Cleaver's protoge and friend and, Cleaver was on the run having escaped bail, awarded by Marian Grant's lover and boss Judge Raymond Sherwin, at the time of Bunchy Carter's murder.

He is a writer and a military man and a college professor who had access to everyone's birthdays as students not to reveal too much other then I stumbled upon his secret pen name so to speak reading letters between Ted kayz and his old associate.... in the area and since most the victims are students I saw a common theme he traveled the country and owned 2 of the cars used in various zodiac crimes he owned the vw bug a red sports car and with a 38. The ad taken out by the Seattle times if true is near the time I contacted this suspect and yes he is still alive his book of course is about the zodiac but it reveals way too much frankly I don't know who to go to since he seems to have something on the fbi |

The academia connection is interesting, and ''mentioned in despatches'' by Ted Kayz. One always feels that there was a warped and misguided ''idealism'' behind the Zodiac.
I have always accepted the Zodiac as a prolific and compulsive small-time extortionist. It is his decision to resort to violence, which sets him apart from the many compulsive extortionists at the time - with just a very few in number (e.g. Ted Kayz and Arthur Bremer joining the Zodiac.) ''crossing the line'', so to speak.
If you do want to approach appropriate authorities - then, for the Zodiac case, the California State Department of Justice is your best bet. They have, unofficially at least, disassociated themselves from the morally corrupted FBI.
The CA DOJ might farm out any specific work that you may wish to show them (to, for example, Stone Ghost). But any further interest from them (CA DOJ) will come under their ''umbrella'' of confidentiality.
Just send it to Sacramento, c/o The Zodiac Killer case.
