Your going to have to look at the codes in a few different ways,my father was a seabee in nam,sacred order of the golden dragon.Freemason cipher. These guys also wrote letters to home in code in nam,Ive seen them and they contain these signs,not all but some.

That symbol on the ''cowboy codes'',is potentially a great find,PowerLord. [The symbol equivalent to ''D''.]
The symbol is,effectively,a ''tidier'' version of Zodiac's ''cross-hair'' symbol,and is very distinctly the symbol,that was signed for in the letter,that starts : ''Ill do it to because I done it 21 times before...''.Albeit,an officially ''unconfirmed'' letter.
Interesting to hear the word ''Freemason''.It has been mentioned before,as a possible connection.Any symbols,pertaining to this secret society,would be good to see [?].
My father was in the Royal Marines and a Freemason - not that I suspected him,for a minute !
But I have a case in a cupboard,that contains all his Freemason ''stuff''.
So,I shall make a point of having a good look inside.

 I understand that many have claimed there fathers to be the zodiac killer,probably out of anger over a bad childhood,out of revenge.The man that wrote these codes was boasting proud of what he'd accomplished knowing full well he'd never be caught which leads me to believe this was more than just him. My fathers mother was a very controlling woman,she ordered my father around like a little dog,in turn he directed white hot hate to my mother,her abuse was severe,but in their circle a woman accepted that role. People have told me to stay away from these forums because they are involved with the cover up,maybe unknowingly. My father had a severe inferiority complex,the need to prove himself with violence,still does.In their cult he had things to prove.When he was a child he was moved from family to family because of his psychotic behaviour. He knew code and cipher well,freemason was part of the family and cult,branding and farmers,the firefighting hood that had been modified for terror,he knew how and where to disappear all along the el diablo mountain range he fought fires there. |

Just on a quick look at these Freemason symbols,PowerLord,there is a cipher from an ''unconfirmed'' letter,that I shall have to check up on,for similarities.
Yes,I think it true,that ''fathers'' are claimed to be Zodiac - more often than not,once they are dead and buried ! Therefore,can't answer for themselves.
And,i think it also true that some claim that Zodiac must have been a ''woman hater'' - possibly on account of having ''bad mothers'' [?].
Most of us that ''trawl'' the Zodiac sites,settle at one site,and I think you will find this one [ZKM],as open as any.One doesn't want to be too mean spirited,but I do find that the larger sites are a bit more ''guarded'' about information.Like the ''swots'' at school ! They fall into this sort of ''elitist''complacency of believing that,because they have been around longest,then they hold all the keys to Zodiac....and that it will fall to them to uncover all the mysteries.
Hogwash ! Very often they find that they have lost sight of the real objective...to keep sharing and be open,for the sake of a common goal.But that is ,perhaps,half of their problem...they see it as a ''social clique''....an ''arrangement'' that they don't really want to end [?].
If there is one thing that I can suggest to you,PowerLord....and that is that there has never been any ''cover-up'',at the expense of exposing Zodiac,by the cops and Judiciary.Indeed,they are always ''covering up'' information from the public,since they don't wish to prejudice information that might serve as pertinent to a possible conviction,in the future.....but no compromise in their efforts to hunt down Zodiac....who,in all probability,was one person.

My father and his cousin were held in questioning on a roadside homicide near watsonville before he went to the military.
there are crooked cops,there are satanically involved politicians,one just has to be in the right place at the right time,freemasons run deep in the political world,my fathers family had farms everywhere,big farms.Most of the famous loner serial killer were caught by law enforcement. Everyone has a little dirt on everyone. This man had help.I remember higher ups in their cult were politicians,one was the head of a cbs broadcast studio.Police men,firefighters.Anything is possible.
I will try and get a wedding photo of my mother and father and you will see they had the wrong people.They were headed in the right direction with earl van best and judy chandler,my parents fit their description and could be considered twins,both.it will shock you.My parents were sexual deviants,kept me in a box in the closet,drugged for sexual ceremony,then taken to er's when it got out of hand with the excuse of poisoning by ammonia,gasoline,cigarettes,furniture cleaner.
Ive seen and lived in a menagerie of insanity,ive seen the possibilities where others only know boundries. God has pointed me in this direction.

Im not a religious person,just spiritual,if you didnt grow up in the bay area in the 60's and 70's then you didnt know the whole drug,satanic,haunting stories that plagued the area,almost a scary place to live,you had the white witch in niles canyon along with the secret sidewalk,the trail killer in coyote hills,the opening of the satanic church in SF and their mission to infest all protestant churches in the area.Seemed as though there was something mystical in everything happening back then.Heck if you went to santa cruz back then there was hocu pocus shop on every corner.

Yes,PowerLord,of course it is possible that Zodiac had assistance.
I would estimate,that at least 50% of enthusiasts do not believe this,purely on the basis that Zodiac would not be the sort of person that would trust anyone,except himself.The more a ''dark secret'' is shared,the more chance that one person,at some point,will spill the beans [?].
That having been said,there are many incidences of ''occurrences'' and ''witnessings'' that lead one to conclude that there may have been more than ''One Zodiac''.
Law Enforcement have always investigated,on the ''primary'' basis of one man - but of course,it is only too apparent,that they have yet to solve the case.It wouldn't be the first time that ''The Professionals'' were overlooking something fundamental,about a serious and ''high profile'' crime [?].

In my parents relationship my mother was boss,until my fathers insane temper boiled,then we all stayed clear.When my mother lived in santa maria she was still in highschool when they met and he was stationed at port hueneme,my mother lived with a satanist girlfriend at some time between santa maria and at an apartment in san jose where i was born,wasnt one of the envelopes stamped 'via san jose'? I undertsand there was a lull after the 1966 killings at the beach and started supposedly back up which might explain either military or forestry season.
My fathers mother was SDA and there was alot of satanic things going on in that church back then I remember as a child.The woman that the SDA consider as a direct prophet to God was a 33rd degree freemason,so that cult is based off the freemason.The family was freemason imbedded.
A man that could act this cool while creating such insanity would be a man that saw nam action,a man that fought fires,a man that was used to being controlled while quietly raging inside and needed release,SDA teach of a paradise.He would be an honest man in his own eyes,he would have multi personalities showing the public he was involved with a totally different face for attention,and when attention didnt reach its quota the storm inside would rage.Shame and inferiority would fuel his thoughts of being inadequate in others eyes,retaliation and revenge to show them they were wrong,they would pay.This is my father. He used masturbation as an outlet when he was sick,stressed,or mad.
When I was a child he used to take me to the farms,the berry farms where illegals were used to pick produce,they would sleep in tents in the fields back then,they were treated like animals,i saw things i wished I hadnt and heard things.Our family had a history of darkness so im told.

If you decide to report your father,on the basis of a possible Zodiac ''candidate'',I recommend that you select NCIS Cold Cases,who appear to hold most of the case,now....and will pass on information to the FBI,if necessary.In essence,take the Federal ''route''.
If you wanted to contact local forces [California],try to go through a crime reporter,from a local newspaper...it helps if you can find someone ''on side'',who has some influence.
Together with a letter,if you can gather some handwriting examples,and photos of your father,through various stages of his life [?].
Try to compile a sort of file,with everything inside,and not falling out,and use a form of posting that requires someone at the other end,to sign for your package.
I have looked at the Freemason symbols,PowerLord,and some match up to a cipher,which is on the same letter,from January 1971 - which is signed for,with the cowboy symbol,equivalent to ''D''.
I believe that the cipher has 120 symbols.It is an ''unconfirmed'' letter,but nevertheless,a ''possible''.
In fact,this cipher is the one that I have earmarked to try to solve,next.I shall probably start making initial preparations,over Christmas,if time allows.
You have probably viewed my solution to the 1990 Celebrity Cypher ? The Celebrity Cypher is also an officially ''unconfirmed'' correspondence.But the point is,that if a plausible solution can be found....then it serves to add credence to its ''Zodiac Authenticity''.
I have no doubts that the Celebrity Cypher solution is correct - so,hopefully,I can do the same for the January 1971 letter,also.
Which,of course,represents particular relevance to the cowboy codes and Freemason symbols,that you have posted.

I agree with you rubis,I am very scared of what this could open up,when my father made his stab at the family last year all of his children had nervous breakdowns,mine was followed by a stroke which I have recovered form nicely,i dont fear for myself as much as i do my siblings,my soul belongs to God.
Id like to point to another killer around the same time also,and why he wasnt more infamous than the zodiac is beyond me because Edmund Kemper operated around the same time in the same area almost and his murders were horrific,which is why I believe there was a more supernatural satanic element with the zodiac.
If you read the biography of Kemper,his childhood was a carbon copy of my fathers. I am mulling your advice with a very heavy heart,the last time I had contact with my mother she gave me a small photo book with pictures that had people cut out of them,someone had gotten into my pictures and took them while visiting one time,she did it and in turn gave me what she thought I should have,there was a box containing letters and photos that pointed to a very dark man and woman and what they wanted to accomplish through madness.

What you could consider is,to compile a file,as I have suggested....as a sort of ''purge'' of the past [?].Then,only send if you feel so inclined.
Indeed,Edmund Kemper ''is'' a giant and brute of a man - at 6ft 9in,and 280lbs - but looks quite ''gormless'' and dull,judging from photos.I would estimate that about 60% of serial killers are ''gorilla'' like - but lack athleticism.
Judging another ''unnamed'' Zodiac suspect - quite similar in looks to Kemper.And Kemper's crimes came,mostly just following Zodiac's.
If you do put a file in,keep it to ''Zodiac''.If the authorities took a look,they might still twig that it might be someone else,that they are seeking - if not Zodiac.They are constantly reviewing the ''high profile'' ones,and would be aware of,if not even looking for,cross-over ''possibilities''.
My general assessment of Zodiac has differences to your's - but also similarities.Your father sounds as if he might be a paranoid schizophrenic,as well as a psychopath.The suspect I have in mind is,I believe,a manic depressive,as well as a psychopath.
